ABOUT ME
Get to know a little bit about me and the Tiny Learning Box!

Hello and thank you for stopping by my blog! My name is Tasha and I'm a licensed elementary teacher turned stay at home mama. I live in Oregon with my husband and 2 (very active) boys! Before taking some time off to stay home with my little ones I taught K/1 for 5 years with a focus on literacy and early intervention.

When my oldest was about a year old, I started to get a little stir crazy being out of the classroom and home all day! The days felt so long and were so monotonous (sound familiar?). I knew I had to do something to pull me out of my funk so I started creating themed activities and a toddler curriculum for us to use at home! It helped to break up the day while providing fun and meaningful activities for us to do together. I started blogging about our week and sharing our activities on Instagram and was overwhelmed by the amazing feedback!

My inspiration for turning all of this into the Tiny Learning box was seeing a need for it amongst other moms. I was frequently asked "How do you decide what to teach?" or "How do you find the time to do all of these activities?" I found myself offering our activities for other moms to use at home. The real inspiration hit when I sat down with my former principal in one of our post-baby check ins and she suggested a subscription box! At first I thought it was crazy (okay, I still kind of think its crazy - but in a good way) but I put some feelers out and it seemed like there was a need!

I am happy to say that I am now able to share my activities with other families and by giving them the tools they need to engage their child in meaningful play without all the prep work! The activities I include in my boxes are:

1. Quick and easy to set up

2. Include all the materials prepped and ready to go

3. Meet the key developmental milestones of toddlers

4. But most importantly...tested (and loved!) by toddlers!

I hope you enjoy my blog as I share our toddler themes and activities!Thank you for stopping by!
